Photo Map Directions Parking Hours We are located inside the Skillman Building, located at 100 East Palmer, Detroit. (the corner of Palmer and John R – one block east of Woodward, and two blocks north of the Detroit Institute of Arts.) This is a landmark to help you find the Skillman Building. Map Map of 100 E Palmer St Detroit, MI 48202-3822 Directions From I-94 East toward Port Huron, get off at the Woodward Avenue Exit and follow the service drive to John R. Turn right on John R, drive south (approx. one and a half blocks) to Palmer. From I-94 West toward Chicago, get off at the Woodward Avenue Exit and follow the service drive to John R. Turn left on John R., cross over the expressway and drive south (approx. one and a half blocks) to Palmer. From I-75 North, get off at the Warren Exit. Turn left on Warren, over the Expressway and take it to Woodward. Turn right on Woodward and drive north four blocks to Palmer. Turn right on Palmer and drive one block to John R. From I-75 South, get off at the Warren Exit. Turn right on Warren, and take it to Woodward. Turn right on Woodward and drive north four blocks to Palmer. Turn right on Palmer and drive one block to John R. From the Lodge/M-10 North, get off at the Forest Exit. Turn right on Forest, and take it to Woodward. Turn left on Woodward and drive north five blocks to Palmer. Turn right on Palmer and drive one block to John R. From the Lodge/M-10 South, get off at the Forest Exit. Turn left and cross the Expressway. Take Forest to Woodward. Turn left on Woodward and drive north five blocks to Palmer. Turn right on Palmer and drive one block to John R. Parking Parking is available in the lot behind the Skillman Building off John R. It costs $3.50 to park. Please be sure you have exact change in dollar bills or quarters for the parking machine. If you are just dropping off materials, there is also free 15 minute parking directly behind the building. Hours The hours are now reduced. It is open Monday and Tuesday: 9am to 2pm, Wednesday and Thursday: 11:30am to 4:30pm, and closed on Friday. The drop box is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 7:30pm and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. It is inside the building on the first floor near room 123.
